It’s International Women’s Day! As such we decided to sit down with some fellow podcasters about the careers of women in international Law.
Nathalie Mivelaz Tirabosco works at the Geneva Academy and Paige Morrow is a research associate at the Graduate Institute and a Senior Legal Advisor to the UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Opinion and Expression. They have teamed up to create a new podcast series entitled Women in International Law, by the Geneva Academy and ATLAS Network.
In their podcast Nathalie and Paige speak to women working within the field, about how they began their careers, the challenges they’ve faced and what motivates them.
We sat down with them to talk about the series, what they have learnt from the women they have interviewed and how women’s work can be further fostered throughout the sector.
This week in recommendations, Nathalie highlights the podcast Nowhere to Hide, about the Assad regime’s use of chemical weapons in Syria. We also mentioned research that shows the discrepancies between how men and women promote each other’s work. You can find an article on it here.
